fashion 4U is a cash-driven value retailer that started almost a decade ago with its initial focus on retailing clothing/apparel.
Today the retail group has extended its assortment into areas that include shoes, linen and accessories, not only because of a greater understanding of the retail market but also to meet evolving customer needs. . Whilst childrenswear, which include infants, toddlers, and pre-school boys and girls, make up a substantial proportion of the business, the group also markets comprehensive ranges of men’s and ladies up to date fashion wear.
Its full assortment of products at everyday low prices is making the retail group a fast-becoming household name and giving it its distinctive look of being value driven.
The retail group has established its footprint and presently operates some 15 stores all across Southern Africa. Locations are carefully selected to serve the target market, which is predominantly found in the CDE income group levels between LSM (i.e Living Standards Measure) 2 and 6. While its stores are mainly located in shopping malls in some of the major city centres, others are based in smaller towns, near rural areas, to cater for a growing demand in these target markets.
As part of its strategy, the retail group has introduced larger format stores that incorporate a new logo, interior design concept, as well as branding to create its own distinctive image and customer awareness. Store sizes presently vary between 200 to 350m2. Some of the main brands that are stocked by the group include- “Just 4 U”, “Fabulous U”, “Dakota”, “Sweats” and “Nexxt”.
